ABOUT US
The Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix (A&BC) has exercised leadership in addressing the organizational development needs of arts organizations throughout Maricopa County. As the arts and cultural community has evolved, so too has our organization. Originally established as Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA), we repositioned as the Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix in 2004 to reflect the broadened scope of our work in direct response to the changing and more complex needs of our community. Now operating as a premier capacity-building resource for arts/cultural and now social service organizations in the Valley, our programs focus on three key areas of organizational need:
- Business on Board - governance training and mentoring on the essential elements of board leadership
- National Arts Marketing Project and Management Workshops - acclaimed training on best practices in marketing and management
- Business Volunteers for the Arts - matching the expertise of business volunteers with the organizational development needs of nonprofit arts organizations.
Managing these programs has provided us with the experience, reputation, and opportunity to bring even greater benefits to businesses, nonprofits and the Valley.
The Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix provides increased benefit to business by way of exposure throughout the community through volunteerism, succession planning, donor investment protection, growth, enrichment and leadership skills for executives and key management, and business-to-business opportunities.
