The mission of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix is to grow leaders and inspire involvement to enrich the entire community.
The Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix (A&BC) offers a broad range of programs and services connecting the arts, cultural and business communities through leadership and board governance training, volunteerism, workshops and events. Originally chartered to develop and administer Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA), a volunteer match program, The Arts & Business Council now offers a much broader range of services including:
• Business on Board, a unique program that trains business professionals in board governance to help create, build and sustain strong, effective boards for nonprofit organizations. Graduates are placed on nonprofit arts boards.
• Marketing and Management Workshops that focus on marketing, communications, audience development and promotional skills.
• Educational Workshops that provide practical tools for increasing nonprofit organizational effectiveness.
• Increased awareness of businesses throughout the community; leadership skills growth and enrichment; volunteer experiences for executives and key management; and business-to-business opportunities.
The Phoenix Office of Cultural Affairs helped launch Business Volunteers for the Arts in 1990 and continues to be a strong supporter of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix. Explore our site for information about opportunities, programs and services for businesses and arts organizations!
