Mission

The mission of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix (A&BC) is to grow leaders and inspire involvement to enrich the entire community.

Originally chartered to develop and administer the volunteer match program known as Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA), the organization has grown to offer a broader range of services. In addition to the BVA and educational programs, the Council has become a one-stop shop for the arts by including opportunities for governance training, new educational opportunities for artists, and functioning as a strategic partner for capacity building.

The Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix provides increased benefit to business by way of exposure throughout the community, growth and enrichment in leadership skills and experience for executives and key management, and business-to-business opportunities.

The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture helped launch Business Volunteers for the Arts in 1990 and continues to be a strong supporter of the Arts and Business Council.
