I will coordinate this process. By the first week of April, I will request everyone to send in their top 3 choices.

A plan of execution will be given to everyone on what to expect.

We may also get more applications from other nonprofits to add on the list, and I will update everyone as they arrive.

So hang on to your choices until you get a response from me to send in your top 3 choices.

Thank you!

Great first session!

Since my next module isn't until late March, I'm wondering about the protocol for matching participants with member organizations.

I already know which three organizations I'd like to put my name in for, but are we expected to reach out to them first to introduce ourselves and confirm that they are seeking new members? Or will BoB coordinate that for us?

See you in March!

I am amazed at how much I learned in the first class of BOB. The diversity and the younger age of the participants was equally fascinating. I am already thinking differently because of what was taught in the first class and wanted to share with you how the teaching impacted me in a way that does not even involve a non profit board.

I volunteer for one group that has recently implemented a more stringent dress code. It bothered me in an undefined way until I took your class. By limiting the pants to khaki and the tops to only 3 colors, the new dress code causes an undue economic hardship on the volunteers who are retired, unemployed, underemployed, or completing court-ordered community service. People can be neatly and appropriately dressed without having to go out and purchase clothes in order to meet a restrictive dress code.

I plan to object to the dress code by wearing only what I currently own. I also plan to find out who implemented the dress code and see what I can do to change it. Thank you BOB, for opening my eyes to a different kind of discrimination!

The first module was great! It was especially nice hearing from the previous BOB participants and learning how the training has helped them. Herb Paine was also great! He had a lot of good information and perspectives. It was nice meeting all the new faces. I look forward to Module 2.

The comments from Emily above could be reproduced over and over again!! The Business on Board program is used by some of the largest corporations in Arizona, year after year! They support and use this program, BECAUSE IT WORKS!! If your company is interested in having your employees become involved in local non-profits as a Board Member, then call the Arts & Business Council of Phoenix today!
